Cosmos 856



Cosmos 856 was a Soviet photo surveillance satellite launched from the Baikonur cosmodrome aboard a Soyuz rocket. It also carried 99-2M gamma-ray spectrometers sensitive to 100-4000 MeV. It performed a survey of the diffuse gamma-ray sky.
