Cosmos 1218 was a Soviet photo surveillance satellite launched from the Baikonur cosmodrome aboard a Soyuz rocket. Successful state acceptance test flight of Yantar-4K1 reconnaisance satellite. Led to Yantar-4K1 acceptance for Red Army service the following year.
