Description

The Ariane Passenger PayLoad Experiment (APPLE) spacecraft was launched via an Ariane L03 rocket from the Kourou Space Center in French Guiana. Built by the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO), it was India's first experimental communications satellite. It provided experience in building and operating a three-axis stabilized communications satellite.
