Description

EUTELSAT-II F3 was launched by the European Telecommunications Satellite Organization from the Kourou Space Center in French Guiana. It was one of 5 EUTELSAT II communications satellites that were successfully put into orbit. The satellites were basically identical. With the arrival of the W series of satellites at the orbital positions until now used by EUTELSAT-II F1, F2, F3 and F4, these satellites were gradually relocated to new positions where they could continue to be used for a full rqange of telecommunications and television services.
