Description

INTELSAT 7-F1 (sometimes known as INTELSAT 701), an international geostationary communications spacecraft, was launched by an Ariane booster rocket from Kourou, French Guiana. It covered the Asia-Pacific region with resources for three television channels and 18,000 telephone channels. It replaced an older INTELSAT, which will be moved over the Indian Ocean.
