Description

DFH-3 MFS, a People's Republic of China "simulated satellite", was launched into a geostationary orbit by a Long March 3-A booster from the Xichang launch site in southwestern China. Launched along with SJ-4, this Dong Fan Hong ("Red is East") - MFS (Mass Frequency Simulator) was a technical/engineering test satellite. Also known as Kua Fu 1, named after a character in Chinese myths who chases the Sun.
