Palapa C-1



Palapa C-1 was an Indonesian geosynchronous spacecraft launched from Cape Canaveral by an Atlas 2AS rocket. It will provide voice and TV communications to the 17,000 islands of Indonesia, and the nearby Asian-Pacific region. It carried 24 C-band, 6 extended C-band, and 4 Ku-band transponders, most of which were leased to several countries.
