MAQSAT-H was a dummy communications satellite instrumented to report the actual payload bay environment during launch of the Ariane 5 booster. It also included the TEAMSAT technology experiment payload, developed by ESTEC. It ejected a subsatellite, the Young Engineers Satellite (YES), also with several experiments. The MAQSATs were built by Kayser-Threde of Germany for the European Space Agency.
