Eutelsat W6

EUTELSAT's four W satellites were designed to be able to deliver a full range of telecommunications and television services from orbital positions at 7, 10, 16 and 36 degrees E. W3 was positioned at 7 degrees E. W1, W2 and W3 shared basic characteristics which included 24 transponders, a fixed Widebeam over Europe, the Middle East and North Africa, steerable Spotbeams and a choice of 36 MHz and 72 MHz bandwidths. They were backed up by an on-ground space called RESSAT.
