Rubin 2 is a German microsatellite that was launched from Baikonur by a Dnepr rocket at 17:00 UT on 20 December 2002. It is a test satellite that can operate without a dedicated ground station. It can be operated via an internet link from a PC, using the Orbcomm mobile messaging satellite network.
