MBSat (Mobile Broadcasting SATellite) is a Japanese-South Korean geostationary communications satellite that was launched by an Atlas 3 rocket from Cape Canaveral at 05:40 UT on 13 March 2004. The 4.1 tonne satellite will provide video, CD-quality radio, and data to cellular phones and other portable devices in Japan and South Korea, after parking over 144° E longitude.
