Beidou IGSO 4



Beidou IGSO 4, a Chinese Navigation satellite, was launched from Xichang on 26 July 2011 at 21:44 UT by a Long March 3A rocket. Beidou IGSO 4, also known as Beidou 2-I4, is part of the Beidou satellite network, China's Navigation Satellite System (CNSS). The Beidou 2 constellation, which will eventually consist of 35 spacecraft, is designed to provide precise navigation, timing and messaging services. The system will initially be used to provide high-accuracy positioning services for users. The civilian service has an accuracy of 10 m in position. The military and authorized user's service, provide higher accuracies.
