Intelsat 34 is a multi-band satellite that will provide distribution services for Latin America media customers in C-band and host a leading Brazilian DTH platform in Ku-band. Intelsat 34 will also provide Ku-band infrastructure for aeronautical and maritime service providers delivering broadband networking to the North Atlantic routes. Replacing Intelsat 805 and Galaxy 11, Intelsat 34 will be part of Intelsat’s three-satellite, pan-regional cable distribution neighborhood for Latin America. The satellite will be located at 304.5°E and is expected to have a service life of more than 15 years.
