Recoverable science satellite carrying 19 microgravity and biological experiments including microgravity fluid physics, microgravity combustion, space material science, space radiation, the effects of microgravity on biological processes, and space biotechnology. The mission was jointly developed by 11 institutes of the China Academy of Sciences, together with six Chinese universities, the European Space Agency and the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency. Shijian 10 is expected to remain in space for 15 days.
