SITRO-AIS 22

Description

SITRO-AIS 22 is the fourth of fifty-four secondary payloads carried into orbit along with Ionosfera-M01 and Ionosfera-M02. This includes payloads for various countries and support for a variety of scientific missions.

SITRO-AIS 22 is an ultra-compact satellite, part of the AIS constellation. Its purpose is to independently monitor water space and shipping on the Northern Sea Route and in the World Ocean.

When deployed the constellation will amount to about 70 satellites. The second part of the devices are optical satellites for remote sensing of the Earth with a resolution of 2.5 meters.

The service that the company provides using these satellites will make it possible to monitor shipping within protected areas and identify ships involved in water surface pollution, plan shipping, including in operations to rescue ships in distress, and combat illegal fishing. Sitronics Group has created and operates a platform for visualizing and providing data to customers’ IT systems via API.

Devices for optical remote sensing of Earth (ERS) with a resolution of 2.5m in the CubeSat 12U format will be able to help solve important problems: monitor the dynamics of changes in landscapes, the structure of vegetation cover, forest and agricultural lands, and solve problems of the environmental monitoring of territories. This allows for the regular monitoring of crop conditions, controlling subsoil usage, quarrying, and carrying out topographic mapping. It also provides operational data to emergency zones such as floods and forest fires.
