Mercury Scout 1



This Mercury Scout (MS-1) spacecraft was to perform an orbital test of the Mercury Tracking System. The first stage exploded 26 seconds after liftoff. The other 3 stages were then destroyed by the Range Safety Officer 44 seconds after launch.
