Description

This satellite (AVL 802H), was a 2.1-m-diameter inflatable sphere constructed of wire mesh and a plastic skin. It was one of seven spherical research satellites ejected from OV1-21. The spacecraft was designed to gather aerodynamic data for use in the design and development of orbiting vehicles.
