Express AM-22 is a Russian geostationary communications satellite that was launched by a Proton-K rocket from Baikonur at 23:00 UT on 28 December 2003. The 2.6 tonne, 6 kW satellite will provide television, internet and data transmissions to Russia and bordering countries through its 24 Ku-band transponders, after parking over 53 degrees E longitude.
