A 2nd generation Moon sycamore (platanus occidentalis) was planted on the grounds of the Paper Products Company in Cincinnati, Ohio on 24 April 1992 (see pictures below). A large scale public works project necessitated the destruction of the tree, it was cut down on 1 March 2017.
A cutting of the tree (above) was taken and planted on the grounds of the new headquarters in Fairfield, Ohio on July 13, 2016. The first picture shows the tree in 2018, the second was taken shortly after it was planted. The Harrison Ave. bridge was renamed "Moon Tree Bridge" on 29 December 2021, in honor of the Paper Products tree. For more, see the WKRC 12 story.
