State Capitol

Des Moines, Iowa

[French Rotarian Article]

An article in the Iowa Daily Nonpareil from 26 April 1976 reports that a "moon seedling" is to be planted on the state capitol grounds in Des Moines on Arbor Day, April 30. The type of tree is not specified, although for Iowa it is most likely a sycamore, the other four species would probably not fare well there. The fate of the tree is not known, a guide to the Iowa state capitol grounds does not include any mention of a Moon Tree.
