This is a CCD image taken 19 July UT (18 July CDT) at 
02:23 UT (9:23pm CDT) with the 0.8m telescope of The 
University of Texas McDonald Observatory. An 764nm 
filter was used. This filter shows the cloud tops of 
Jupiter. North is at the top and west is to the right. 
In the southern hemisphere three white ovals which are 
not associated with the comet are visible across the 
central meridian. To the south and west of these white 
ovals the impact location of comet fragment C is 
visible as a subtle dark patch. Barely visible near 
the north polar region is the shadow of the Jovian 
moon Ganymede.
