Information

These eight volumes, containing twelve CD-ROMs, contain all Pointed Position Sensitive Proportional Counter (PSPC) and High Resolution Imager (HRI) images taken by ROSAT during the specified time periods. (See the Note above.)

Both ROSAT detectors, PSPC and HRI, are sensitive to X-rays in the energy range 0.1 to 2.4 keV. The images on these CD-ROMs are stored both in the standard Flexible Image Transport System (FITS) format and also as Graphic Interchange Format (GIF) files. Compressed exposure maps for each FITS image are also included.
