Selected Reprocessed Fast Electron Data, CDF

NSSDCA ID: SPHE-00886

Availability: Archived at NSSDC, accessible from elsewhere

Description

This enhanced CDF data set was generated by NSSDC, with input from R. Fitzenreiter and A. F.-Vinas, to make a useable CDF data set from a bare-bones CDF data set provided earlier to NSSDC. This current data set was made by selecting only certain variables from those available in the original bare-bones CDF (SPHE-00414). The data set is available at the SPDF's CDAWeb online data interface, http://cdaweb.gsfc.nasa.gov/sp_phys/ which supports plotting, listing, and data downloads.

This data set contains electron data from the Fast Electron experiment, together with various housekeeping parameters, including the on/off status of the Harvey and Mozer experiments, which cause noise spikes in the electron data when they are active. Also included are spacecraft position, electron density at 0.5 sec resolution (60-deg sector) taken during one spin, bulk velocity, pressure tensor, heat flux vector, electron temperature, electron temperature anisotropy, spacecraft potential, 1-minute averaged magnetic field, and other parameters.
