Description

The Context Imager (CTX) will provide wide area, lower-resolution views to provide a context for high-resolution analysis of key spots on Mars provided by HiRISE and CRISM. CTX has a field of view of about 5.7 degrees and an image size of 5000 pixels. From a nominal altitude of 300 km CTX will have a resolution of roughly 6 m/pixel and will return images 30 km across.
