A memorandum of understanding (MOU) provides a framework for cooperation and coordination between a data provider and the NSSDCA. The MOU sets forth broad guidelines describing the roles and responsibilities of the data provider and the NSSDCA for the acquisition, management, dissemination and preservation of NASA space science data and the associated documentation and ancillary data needed for the scientific usefulness of the data. An MOU template and examples of MOUs (signed or in draft form) are given below.
